It is necessary for all anglers over twelve years old to hold an annual Environment Agency Rod Fishing Licence to fish any water in the area - available from Post Offices.
In addition to the Rod Licence, a separate Licence/Membership/Ticket will also be required from the owner of the Fishing Rights at the site chosen. Please always contact the site first if you are visiting for the first time and not sure of the procedure at that site.

Extensive sections of the Oxford Canal and River Cherwell come under the jurisdiction of the Banbury and District Angling Association. Lake fishing available by day ticket at Banbury Reservoir, Spital Farm Lake (Grimsbury/Banbury), Slinkit Lake (Aynho) and Farnborough Lake.
