All levels of paddler are catered for, from beginners up to international standard and the club welcomes families and youngsters, to introduce them to the activity.

6.  Banbury Bulldogs Skater Hockey Club We are a skater hockey club playing out of Spiceball Sports Centre in Banbury, with teams at all age groups in the Southern Area Skater Hockey (SASH) League, playing in Farnborough. We welcome all ages and abilities and we offer coaching for beginners right up to national team players. All we ask is that you can skate and we’ll do the rest. The Banbury Chestnuts is one of the oldest club in the country and can trace its History back to 1554. We are believed to be the only club in Oxfordshire to be founder members of all the mens's outdoor bowling associations. It is with pride that we should remember that our Club was there at the beginning and helped to lay down the laws which all other bowlers now play by.

9.   Banbury Cricket Club White Post Road, Bodicote OX15 4BN Telephone: 01295 264368 Reformed in 1949 Banbury Cricket Club has over the years developed into the leading club side in Oxfordshire, winning the inaugural Home Counties Premier League in 2000. The club runs several sides of varying age groups and abilities with four Saturday sides. The First XI play in the ECB Home Counties Premier League, the highest standard of club cricket. The Second, Third and Fourth XI play in the Cherwell League competing against other club sides in the county. The club also manages a Sunday side, which competes in ECB National Club Championship, which has seen the club, reach the last 16 twice in recent years. A midweek side play in a 20 over competition on Wednesday evenings throughout the summer.

Banbury Sailing Club 10.   Banbury Cross Sailing Club Grimsbury Reservoir, Water Works Road, Grimsbury Green, OX16 3JJ Telephone: 01295 254506 We are a small, friendly club that welcomes new members whether they are complete beginners, keen to race or families with children. Official sailing days are Thursdays (6pm) and Sundays (9am), with races held on both days. Regular trips are also organised to the south coast and larger inland waters.

Telephone : 07971 661 501 Banbury Hockey Club has its home ground and club house at the North Oxfordshire Academy and this has been its home for the last ten years. The club has five Men’s and four Ladies teams as well as a very successful Mixed team. Over recent times the success of the club has been down to the thriving junior section that has over 200 children training and playing for Banbury Hockey Club.

13.  Banbury Netball North Oxfordshire Academy, Banbury.  The club have three teams that play in the Oxfordshire League. We are also currently working on a Youth Development Plan, so whether you are looking for some serious competition or are just developing as a player there is something for everyone.

Banbury Sailing Club 16.   Banbury Sailing Club Boddington Reservoir, Byfield, near Banbury. NN11 6XU Telephone: 01327 260960 (Sundays only March - December) Banbury Sailing Club is a friendly club which welcomes both the keen racer and the family sailor who simply wants to relax by sailing in beautiful country. The Club has excellent facilities and sails on 90 acres of attractive water at Boddington Reservoir, 7 miles north of Banbury.  Along with racing on every Sunday from March to December, members can sail at any time.

17.  Banbury Star Cyclists' Club Banbury Star is one of the oldest clubs in the country, forming in 1891 with locals riding and racing around the county of Oxfordshire. Recent years has seen more and more members meeting on a Sunday morning during winter months, battling against the elements to get in some solid winter miles for racing in the warmer months. Rides meet at The Dog and Gun pub in the centre of Banbury at 8.30am every Sunday.

18.   Banbury Swimming Club Spiceball Park Leisure Centre, Cherwell Drive, Banbury OX16 2BW Banbury Swimming Club aims to give children, young people and adults the opportunity to realise their full potential as a swimmer, whilst developing teamwork, self-discipline, self-esteem and sportsmanship. The club aspires to all the principles of the Amateur Swimming Association codes of practice, including child protection, ethics and disability. The club is open to all swimmers of the correct standard regardless of age, gender, disability and ethnic origin.

Two of the courts are floodlit and are used for club nights during the winter. Tennis club members are able to use the adjacent pavilion facilities that include toilets, showers, and Bowls Club bar and lounge. Club nights are on Tuesday and Friday evenings from 6pm. New members and visitors are always welcome!

20.   Banbury Twenty Cricket Club Stroud Park Ermont Way Banbury, Oxfordshire OX16 3JT Telephone: 01295 263757 Twenty Club was formed in 1932 by an original twenty members. The Club is a member of the Oxfordshire Cricket Board and a founder member of the Cherwell Cricket League. The Club run two Saturday sides which compete in Cherwell League Divisions two and five respectively. The club also play in the Brackley & District Midweek League on Wednesday evenings. The Club's youth teams compete in Oxfordshire competitions and are coached by ECB qualified coaches.

The club enters numerous teams in local tennis & squash leagues both in winter and in summer. Weekly club nights are held for each sport. Set in the north of Oxfordshire it has been a thriving bowls club since 1957. The game of bowls can be enjoyed by everybody, no matter what age, sex or disability. We are always looking for new members. How many times have people thought about 'just having a go', please don't worry, come along and sample the game and it's hospitality.

25.   Bodicote Cricket Club Kingsfield, White Post Road Bodicote OX15 We run two Saturday teams that play in the South Northants Cricket League. In addition we run a Wednesday evening side that play in the Brackley & District Midweek League. Midweek practice is held on Tuesday evenings, 6.15 pm at Bodicote's "other" club, Banbury CC which can be found just over the hedge.

Based in Banbury, it is a friendly club active in many different forms of canoeing including white water, flat water touring and surfing. The club provides the opportunity to develop the skills to participate in these activities safely as well as organising regular trips thoughout the year. For the competitive spirited the club also boasts a large canoe polo squad and has a strong history in canoe slalom. The club offers 5 week novice courses running throughout the summer which are open to beginners of all ages, working towards the British Canoe Union 1 star qualification. All equipment is provided.

We focus on road running of all distances and cross country. Our aim is to encourage runners of all abilities to enjoy the sport whether it’s for fun, general fitness or to compete in races. The club meets on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7pm and you’ll receive a warm and friendly welcome.

We have four teams in the Banbury League: Men's A and B, and Composite A and B. We have a good mix of social and competitive Badminton covering a wide age range. We have a range of trampolines from rebound through to olympic standard to suit all ages and abilities. 31.   Harriers The Pavilion, North Oxfordshire Academy, Banbury. Telephone: 01295 253053 The club operates throughout the year meeting on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The Club has the use of the all-weather track, as well as the school’s Sportshall/Gym during the winter. In addition, there is easy access to a wide range of pleasant rural road and off-road runs. The Pavilion has toilets, showers and changing rooms.

32.  Hook Norton Cycling Club The club meets every Sunday in front of The Sun Inn in Hook Norton at 9:30am (opposite the church). From there we ride cross country for 2 to 3 hours on a range of different tracks that we have mapped over the years (ride time is often dictated by the number of punctures suffered on the way round). We're usually back around midday to hose down the bikes before lunch. Anyone is welcome to come along (you don't have to be an old bloke) & we try our best to keep riding all year round.

33.   Hook Norton Tennis Club The Bourne Hook Norton OX15 5PB We are a friendly and active club with around one hundred members. We cater for all standards of play from beginners, who are always welcomed and encouraged, to team players in our league matches. The best way to find out what we are like is to come and meet us at one of our club sessions; Tuesday 7pm, Wednesdays 2pm, Fridays 7pm and Sundays 10am.

We have 2 Mens teams on Saturday who now play in the Cherwell League after becomming Champions of the OCA Division 1 in 2011 season.We also field a Sunday Team for friendly games with local sides. We also have a great Youth Policy with Teams of Under 11's, Under 13's and Under 15's which are mixed genders. Since 2010 the Ladies have got into the action and started up there own team playing other local ladies teams on Sundays

The programme was developed by a group of FA qualified coaches, nursery school teachers, parents and health specialists. The result is a year round weekly class which offers age appropriate games, teaching coordination, balance and ball control. Children also learn the importance of exercise and team play in a fun environment. Each session last 45 minutes.

Tornadoes is a fantastic netball club that invites any new players to come along and take part. It doesn't matter what standard you are, you're welcome to come! We are a competitive but friendly club full of energetic, competitive and friendly players. We have 2 junior teams and 1 senior team. All teams play in the Cherwell League and the Senior team also plays in the Oxfordshire league. Junior training is at Banbury School on Wednesdays at 6.30-7.30pm and the Seniors train at Woodgreen Leisure Centre on a Thursday at 7.30pm.
