Welcome to Banbury Buddhist Group. We meet every Tuesday 8pm and our evening consists of 30-40 minutes sitting meditation, talks, readings and discussions in a friendly open atmosphere . Banbury Camera Club was founded in 1946 and still maintains its original aim: to bring together all those interested in photography in the area. Whatever your standard, equipment, or interests, you will be very welcome at our meetings. We have members who are interested in a full range of formats and methods - from traditional black and white printing, through colour slides and conventional colour printing, to digital imaging using computers and inkjet printers. Meets every Monday from 7:30pm to 10:00pm.

5.  Banbury Cross Archers

We are a friendly club open to people of all abilities with membership ranging from juniors to senior citizens. Archery is one of the few sports which people from a very wide spectrum can enjoy together and our membership includes families and people with physical disabilities and learning disabilities. In the summer we meet on Wednesdays and Fridays at Warriner School, Bloxham, from 6pm to 9pm and on Sunday afternoons from 2pm to 6pm. In the winter we shoot in-doors on a Wednesday from 6pm to 10pm at the TA Centre in Banbury and on Sunday from 2pm to 6pm at the Warriner School Bloxham (and out-doors at the same time for the hardy souls).

8.  Banbury Historical Society

The Banbury Historical Society was founded in 1957 to encourage interest in the history of the town of Banbury and neighbouring parts of Oxfordshire, Northamptonshire and Warwickshire. The Society holds monthly lectures on the second Thursday of the month at 7.30pm, from September to March. Talks are given by invited lecturers on general and local historical, archaeological and architectural subjects. Throughout the spring and summer excursions are arranged.

Joining us could not be simpler all you need to do is come along on a parade night to see what you think, this will cost you no money and will give you an idea of what goes on within a typical parade night. It is normally a good Idea to phone first as during the summer months we may be down at the reservoir undertaking boating activities.

Retired or semi-retired? Want to make new friends and learn something new? U3A is a voluntary co-operative of older people, from all walks of life, which enables members to share learning, creative and leisure activities. We have two meetings a month - on the second Monday of each month (except August and Bank Holidays) we usually have an invited speaker on a topic of general interest and on the fourth Monday of each month there may be speakers from our own membership or local organisation, a presentation by a Special Interest Group or some other activity, with a 'Bring and Buy' as well.from 2.30 - 4.30 p.m.
