Historical Society Meetings are held monthly from September to March at 7.30pm in Banbury Museum Telephone: 01295 672626 The society was founded in 1957 to encourage interest in the history of the town of Banbury and neighbouring parts of Oxfordshire. Talks are given on general and local history, archaeology and architecture. There are several summer excursions and the AGM is normally held at a nearby country location. Membership benefits include a winter programme of lectures and a summer excursion programme. In addition all members receive the Society's thrice yearly Cake and Cockhorse and records volumes.
