Over 60 members attended this month's meeting and heard from Ruth Robinson, Principal and Nick Davies, Chair of the Local Governing Board from North Oxfordshire Academy.

Ruth and Nick gave an excellent presentation about the North Oxfordshire Academy, which opened it's gates for the first time last year. The attendees were given an insight into the background of the Academy, the changes and progress that it has made since its opening and the successes and challenges it continues to face.

They also presented ideas of how companies and professionals can work with and support the Academy, as well as what it can give back to the local community.

The morning raised £61.40 for the Hillview Primary School, so many thanks for your generosity.

Jacqueline Rawlings - Train to Gain

Jacqueline Rawlings has been working for Train to Gain for two years and previous to that at Business Link Berkshire. She is passionate about learning and development and this prompted her to study for her degree in business/HR four years ago.

Jacqueline, will talk about 'Train to Gain', which is a service that provides impartial, independent advice on training to businesses across England. It can help businesses improve their productivity and competitiveness by ensuring that employees have the right skills to do the best job possible.

So if you or your company would like training advice and support on how to succeed, then why not come along.
