Meeting No. 181

LAST MEETING - 3rd May 2007

Mary HarpleyOur guest speaker was Sir William Stubbs, the Chairman of the Oxford Radcliffe Hospital NHS Trust.
Sir William gave a very clear insight into some of the problems that are faced in running a business, which
not only has to cope with huge budgets and very complex staffing issues, but also a situation where demand
will always outstrip supply.

If you missed this meeting, you missed a very good one.

NEXT MEETING - Thursday 3rd May 2007

Next month we will be meeting the winner and one of the runners-up in the Banbury Innovation Awards. Two business people will be providing details about their new and growing businesses.

You will also be hearing from Wendy Kingsbeer and Joy Webb, members of the Cherwell District Council Public Protection Team. Wendy and Joy have the responsibility of dealing with the introduction of the "No Smoking Ban" which comes into force in July. Come along with your fags and pipes and enjoy one of the last Breakfast meetings before the ban is introduced in public places.

A special mention must go to Tom Maby of Mabys, who has taken over the catering at Rye Hill. The cooked breakfast served by Tom and his team earned a round of applause.
