The Banbury Business Women's Lunch Group
meet on the Second Tuesday of every month but December is slightly different as it is our Christmas Lunch.
The format of our lunch will be:
- 12.15 - 12.30 - Arrival, Complimentary soft drink and
networking.
- 12.30 - 12.45 - Everyone stands up for 30 seconds to tell the room about themselves and their services. New members get a whole 60 seconds.
- 12.45 - 13.30 - Luncheon is served.
- 13.30 - 14.00 - Our invited speaker gives a 30 minute talk.
- After 14.00 - informal networking for those who don't
have to rush back!
A list of Speakers, previous and forthcoming:
- 14th June 2011 - Ian Gentles was our speaker and he told us about Social Media - How he has a big Klout rating and how to use Twitter especially to help others in the business community.
- 12th July 2011 - Ben Jackson spoke about The Impact of Carers in Business.
- 13th September 2011 - This was our "Bring a Man to Lunch" lunch and it was good to welcome lots of men to the BBW. Becky Hutchinson from Natwest Bank was our speaker and she told us alot about women's impact in the business and workplace.
- 11th October 2011 - Victoria Ammoscato gave an enlightening talk about her practice in semi-permanent make-up. Medical tattooing and micro-needling - many of the ladies there were wondering whether to have chemical peels and eyebrows shaped !
- 8th November 2011 - Carol Shaw from Spratt Endicott Solicitors shared her passion for Employment Law with us - She gave us some insights into the pitfalls and the joys of employing staff and although it can be terribly frustrating if you get it wrong, it can be extremely rewarding to employ the right people.
- 13th December 2011 - This was our Christmas lunch with 43 ladies attending! We raised £100 to be split between BYHP and Katharine House Hospice and Sarah Coo's team won the quiz (despite me trying to sabotage them !)
- January 2012 - Anna Mason was our speaker talking about Diet and Nutrition and she was extremely informative, interesting and completely captivated the whole group - Personally - I was glad I had not eaten my white roll which accompanied the lunch !!
